USA TODAY LICENSED TO LERNER PUBLISHING GROUP
FOR EDUCATIONAL BOOKS
Atlanta, GA – July 7, 2008 – USA TODAY, the nation’s top-selling newspaper, has licensed its brand to Lerner Publishing Group, one of the nation’s largest independent children’s book publishers, to produce a program of new educational books for children and young adults. This is another strategic brand extension for USA TODAY from Nancy Bailey & Associates.
The first series being released is Lifeline Biographies, which will feature titles about some of the world’s most compelling people. The first four titles being released include Bill Gates: Entrepreneur and Philanthropist, Oprah Winfrey: Global Media Leader, Tiger Woods: Golf’s Master and Vera Wang: Enduring Style. These titles will be available in Fall 2008 and are aimed at middle school, high school and public libraries.
Perfect for research and reports, the books are easy to read and are filled with fascinating facts and complete articles from USA TODAY Colorful sidebars, including In Focus sections and USA TODAY Snapshots, provide detailed graphics and in-depth details.
Additional offerings planned for future seasons will include biographies of presidents, Hollywood stars and more.
