THE ALIENWARE LICENSING PROGRAM EXPANDS IN 2007
Atlanta, GA - April 5, 2007 - Alienware Corporation, the leading manufacturer of high-performance desktop, notebook and professional computer systems, is gearing up to introduce several new licensed products that will expand the company's product offering to the retail marketplace.
The Alienware brand has been licensed in the following categories:
Laptop Carrying Cases
The über-cool Alienware-branded Odyssey carrying cases manufactured by Mobile Edge, Inc. combine both function and style to deliver optimal protection for laptops. These carrying cases incorporate Alienware's distinctive design elements, such as the Alien head and grills, and are made of ballistic nylon. Cases include the Odyssey Backpack, Odyssey Messenger Bag and Odyssey Briefcase and can be purchased at various online e-tailers.
Dual Compatible Game Pad
Core Gamer, Inc. will soon be launching its line of Alienware-branded dual compatible game pads. The new Alienware-branded game pad is compatible for both PC and PS2 gaming. In keeping with Alienware's identity, glowing lights radiate from the iconic Alien head and vents. This premium wired controller features Dynamic Analog Sensitivity Control, which allows the user to individually shift from standard joystick sensitivity mode to precision joystick sensitivity mode at the touch of a button. In addition, interchangeable joystick saucer grips allow the user to customize and replace the joystick tops to their preferred grip style for specific game types and control schemes. The game pad is available in four colors: Space Black, Saucer Silver, Cyborg Green and Conspiracy Blue. These products will be available at retail this spring.
Premium Cables
Griffin International Companies will establish the Alienware brand in the high-end, premium cable category. Griffin is developing a complete line of computer and audio/visual cables, which will encompass the cutting-edge technology and design that Alienware is widely known for. These products will be available at retail this summer.
